SUBJECT: SEARCH FOR THE 2018 DIVISION BEST SCHOOL READING IMPLEMENTER

DATE:         November 5, 2018

1.        In line with the 2018 Division Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) to strengthen further the implementation of Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP) and to assess the effectiveness of the Reading Program through the Banner Project of the schools in the division, the Office through the Curriculum and Implementation Division (CID) will conduct the SEARCH FOR THE 2018 DIVISION BEST SCHOOL READING IMPLEMENTER from November 5 to December 15, 2018.

2.    As majority of the schools in the Division have designed their School Banner Projects towards addressing Reading problems, it is expected that the Reading Programs in schools are effectively and continuously being implemented. Thus, this Division Search.

2.    The Search aims to:

a. highlight the best practices of the winning elementary and secondary schools relative to
      the implementation of their School Reading Programs;

b. encourage School Heads and the entire school and community to ensure the
     development of the lifelong reading skills of their learners; and

c. strengthen the Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP) at the school level through the
     effective implementation of the School Banner Projects.

3.    The Search is open to all elementary and secondary schools.

4.   The documents/MOVs of the nominee elementary and secondary schools in the respective Districts shall be evaluated by the:

a. District Evaluation Team

Chairman: Public Schools District Supervisor/PSDS Members: Central School Principal

District ALS Coordinator

5. Upon the endorsement of the PSDS, the nominee-schools will be validated by the:

a. Division Evaluation Team

Chairman: Education Program Supervisor/EPS 1 (Program Coordinator) Members:   Education Program Supervisor/EPS 1 Education Program Specialist II (ALS)

6. The endorsed schools shall automatically be the entries in the selection of Division winners.

7.     Attach herewith is the Guidelines for the Search for the 2018 Division Best School Reading

Program Implementer.

8. District Supervisors are to submit to the Office through Mrs. Paulina D. Gabon, EPS1, English, the
       filled in evaluation forms on December 10,2018 to give the Division Committee time to validate
       the nominated schools.

9. Expenses incurred by the schools relative to the Search shall be charged against local/school
        MOOE funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

10.    Dissemination of this Memorandum is desired for the information and compliance of all
