MODULES CUM CONTINGENCY PLANNING FOR
SCHOOL DRRM COORDINATORS

1. To strengthen the implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) in the
Department of Education, this Division will be having a Roll- Out on DRRM Modules and Contingency Planning on November 14 to 16, 2018 at Jardin De Elena Resort, Barangay San Andres, Catbalogan City.
2. This activity aims to:
a. strengthen the DRRM implementation in the
elementary and secondary schools in
the division which are vulnerable to
natural and man-made hazards;
b. capacitate school DRRM Coordinators on how
to implement the different DRRM
activities in schools; and
c. come up with a 2019 School DRRM Plan (SDRRMP).
3. Participants to the said activity are the elementary and secondary School DRRM Coordinators.
However, Secondary Schools are advised to send 2 paticipants (1 Junior High,l Senior High).
4. No Registration Fee will be collected.
5. For inquiries and concerns, you may approach CHESETH T. CABALQUTNTO, Project
Development Officer II- DRRM.
6. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance to this division memorandum is highly
directed.
