WORLD TOURISM DAY GENERAL INFORMATION AND POSTER-MAKING CONTEST

Public/Private Secondary School Heads All others concerned

1.             In support to the letter received by the office of the Schools Division Superintendent dated September 17, 2018, this office announces the conduct of World Tourism Day General Information and Poster-Making Contest with the

theme, “Tourism and the Digital Transformation” on September 28, 2018 at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon with the venue to be announced later.

2.         The objective of this activity is to promote awareness on the potential contribution of the digital technologies to sustainable tourism development, while providing a platform for investment, partnerships and collaboration towards a more responsible and inclusive tourism sector.

3.         Participants to this contest are the secondary students of both pivate and public schools. Please refer to Enclosure for the team composition and guidelines for 1) Tourism and General Information Conresi, 2) Spark Samar Poster-Making Contest.

4.         Should you have any inquiry on this regard please call the Samar Provincial

Tourism Office at 63555438980 or Mr. Edgar U. Dolorzo, EPS1 in Araling Panlipunan.

5.         Registration is FREE.

6.         Immediate and wide dissemination of this memorandum is desired.

Come last week of September we will be celebrating the National Tourism Week. The celebration coincides with the observance of World Tourism Day (WTD) on September 27, with this year’s theme: “Tourism and the Digital Transformation”.

Putting more emphasis on World Tourism Day 2018, it is a unique opportunity to promote awareness on the potential contribution of digital technologies to sustainable tourism development, while providing a platform for investment, partnerships and collaboration towards a more responsible and inclusive tourism sector.
