Subject:          PARTICIPATION TO THE REGIONAL PWDs IN ACTION: A MANNEQUIN SHOW

Date:               December 07, 2017

1.     In line with the DepEd’s mandate to ensure access to quality basic education for all, the Department of Education(DepEd) formulated the Gender-Responsive Basic Education Policy in line with its Gender and Development (GAD) mandate as stipulated in the 1987 Constitution. Thus, DepEd commits to integrate the principles of gender equality, equity, gender sensitivity, non-discrimination and human rights. In the provision and governance of basic education.

2.     To strengthen gender and development institutional mechanism, the Department of Education Regional Office VIII will be conducting the Person with Disabilities (PWDs) in Action: A MANNEQUIN SHOW in relation to the National Person with Disability Month Celebration and the 18-Day Campaign to end Violence Against Women (VAW) with the theme: “VAW-Free Community Starts with Me”.

3.     This Division announces, the participation to the said regional activity. (The List of Participants are indicated in the Enclosure of this memorandum)

4.     This memorandum shall serve as the 0 fficial Travel Order of the Participants.

5.     Expenses incurred in this activity shall be charged against Division/School GAD Fund, subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and procedures.

6.     Strict compliance and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
