2018 DIVISION SCIENCE AND MATH FAIR

1. As part of the celebration of the Science and Mathematics Month this September,
2018, with the theme: “Science and Math for the People: Innovation for Collective Prosperity,” this office through the Curiculum Implementation Division, announces the conduct of the 2018 Division Science and Math Fair which will be held on
October 8-9,2018, at Catbalogan V Central Elementary School, Catbalogan City. 2. The objectives of the Science and Math Fair are to:
a. select from among the participants in
Science and Math the official
representatives/participants
of the Division to the Regional/National
Festival of Talents;
b. provide an avenue to demonstrate knowledge
and understanding of the
concepts and skills
learned through performance in the different
contests;
c. promote academic excellence in Science and
Math through
camaraderie and
sportsmanship; and
d. enhance Science and Math consciousness among the youth.
3. The participants of this activity are the first place winners in the district/school levels
both public and private schools, except for Science Quiz and Science Investigatory
Project (SIP) where the distict/school levels shall send their 1st and 2nd place
winners. Below is the corresponding number of contestants and coaches:

A registration fee of P60.00 shall be collected from each
participant/contestant/coach to defray expenses for 1 lunch and 2 snacks per day
for the judges, working committees, facilitators, certificates, materials and other incidental expenses. All expenses relative to the conduct of the Division Science and Math Fair, including transportation of participants shall be charged to MOOE/SSES/STE/RSHS/YES- O/Local/LGU funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
