GIRL SCOUTS SAVER is a special service program undertaken by a team of Girl Scouts and Non-Girl Scout volunteers organized to assist in Fact Finding, Communication, Referrals and Relief Operations in times of emergency. It stands for Service Auxiliary Volunteers for Emergency and Relief.
With the global warming effect, our country experiences natural disasters. Your barangay suffers from such calamities as storms, typhoons, fires, and floods. As a true Girl Scout, you are bound by the Promise to do service. Every Girl Scout must “Be Prepared” and must “Do a good turn daily,” whether or not it is recorded or recognized.
A SAVERS Team is a group of Senior / Cadet Girl Scouts who, after taking special training in disaster relief work, provide the service needed to organizations and/or government agencies working or in charge of emergency disaster/relief activities.
