                         EASTERN VISAYAS

1.     Attached is the Regional Memorandum No. 138 s. 2018 entitled Forum on the Mental Health

of Children and Teachers in Eastern Visayas dated March 13, 2018.

2. Please prepare in both soft and hard copy of the completed research and implemented
      intervention programs.

3.    Entries may be submitted to School Health and Nutrition Unit of this Division on or before

April 6,2018. Attention: Sherrydale Queen H. Uy, RN for evaluation of Ms. Ma Linda S. Legarse, Ph. D., SEPS, of Planning and Research Unit.

4.   Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum are desired.

FORUM ON MENTAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN AND TEACHERS IN EASTERN VISAYAS

To:       Schools Division Superintendents            v-

1.            This Office shall conduct a Research Forum focusing on the Mental Health of children and teachers on May 8, 2018. The venue shall be announced once the complete list of participants has been finalized.

2.         This forum aims to:

a. showcase completed research papers and intervention programs conducted by
      individuals and organizations toward strategically assessing status and practices on
      psychosocial or mental health of children and teachers after disasters;

b. provide an avenue for formulation of localized policies and programs on mental
      health of children and teachers; and

c.  promote good practices on psychological first aid to children and teachers.

3.             In this reference, this Office calls for submission of any completed research and implemented intervention programs within the last four years from any individual or government/private agency or institution. Submission of entries is until April 10, 2018 only. Research previously presented in other conferences or fora shall also be accepted. Interested parties must submit an abstract that contains the following:

a. Project Title

b. Name of Individual or Organization

c.   Contact Information

d.   300-word Precis of the Rationale, Methodology, and Findings of the Project

4.         All Schools Divisions are directed to display the attached poster in conspicuous places in their respective offices and schools and advertise the forum in social media accounts.

5.             The submitted abstracts shall undergo evaluation as to relevance and quality by the Policy, Planning, 8i Research Division (PPRD). Qualified presenters shall be notified by PPRD through an official letter of invitation.

6.             Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Memorandum are desired.
