14™ NATIONAL DENTAL HEALTH MONTH

Public and Private Elementary and Secondary School Heads All others concerned

1.     In compliance to DepEd Memorandum No. 031, s. 2018, titled: 14th National Dental Celebration

with the theme Ngiping Inaruga Mula Pagkabata, Malusog na Ngiti Baon sa Pagtanda, this ofice enjoins all Public and Private Elementary and Secondary Schools to celebrate the 14th National Dental Health Month in February 2018.

2.     The celebration aims to raise dental health consciousness among the school populace, encourage

participation of local government unit (LGU), partners and stakeholders in the provision of oral health services in schools and strengthen oral health service delivery.

3.     Listed below are the suggested activities but not limited to:

• Conduct a short program preferably ater lag raising ceremony to inform the learners and
      the community on the signiicance of Oral Health Education;

• Hanging of streamers in strategic places within the school premises;

• Coordinate with other agencies, non-government organizations, and other private sectors
      in the conduct of advocacy activities in schools and communities;

• Conduct school activities such as slogan contest, poster making contest, ater recess tooth
      brushing drill, ilm showing, among other related activities.

4.     Public School District Supervisors of the ive districts shall submit a Distict Consolidated Picto-

Narrative Accomplishment Report relative to the activities conducted by the schools on or before March 9,2018 Attention: Jonathan Andrie J. Usero, DMD, Division Dentist.

5.     Immediate dissemination and compliance of this memorandum is earnestly desired.
