In connection to Division Memorandum 291 s. 2017, titled “Guidelines on the Weekly Iron Folic Acid (WIFA) Supplementation for Female Adolescent Learners in Public High Schools, administration of the 1st round supplementation was already done in this division.
In view of this, the implementation for the 2nd round will start from January until March 2018 with the same target recipients particularly Grade 7-10 Female adolescent learners in public high schools and in the Alternative Learning System (ALS). Futher, a Re-orientation on Iron Folic Acid tablet administration will be conducted on January 15, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at the School Health Nutrition Unit.
Paticipants to this activity are all Field Public Schools Districts Supervisors (PSDS), Secondary School Heads, ALS Implementers District and School WIFA Coordinators. Teachers/Advisers and ALS Implementers must secure a parent’s consent for WIFA supplementation prior to the administration of the above mentioned supplement.
A District Consolidated Repot (Form 3) shall be submitted by PSDSs on or before March 30, 2018. Please coordinate with the School Health Nurse at School Health and Nutrition Unit of this Division for queies and futher information.
