GIRL SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES – SAMAR COUNCIL JUNIOR JOURNALIST GUILD TRAINING

To:       Public Schools District Sypervisors/District In-Charge

School Heads for Public Elementary and Secondary Schools All Others Concerned

1.   The Samar GS Council will conduct a Junior iournaiist Guild Training on August 10 – 12,

2018 at Samar GS Council Hqs., Catbalogan City.

2.     The said training aims to facilitate and enrich the public relations efforts of the council,

to extend the council sphere of influence thru media. The Junior Jounalist Guild is formed to handle the council newsletter or bulletin.

3.     Participants of this conference are four (4) Students from Public and Private Elementary

and Secondary Schools from the editorial team, with one (1) Adult Leader or the paper adviser.

4.    Participants are requested to bring the following:

Official Business Uniform with Scarf                Sleeping garments

Fun T-Shirt w/ jeans (maong pants)                   Beddings (sleeping mat, blanket, pillow)

Closed black shoes, rubber shoes, slippers         Toiletries

Casual Dress                                                      Writing materials

Physical fitness outfit                                        Prescribed medicines

Comfortable working clothes

5.     The registration fee of SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY PESOS (PhP750.00) shall be charged each

participant to cover expenses for meals and snacks and materials. The registration fee, transportation and other expenses incurred by the participants relative to the conduct of this activity shall be chargeable against the local SMF fund / MOOE / SPED Fund / SEF of each school subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

6.     Widest dissemination and strict compliance of this Division Memorandum is desired.

The Council establishes GS Clubs to facilitate and enrich its public relations efforts. Clubs are organized to extend the council sphere of influence. Generally, the Junior Journalist Guild is formed to handle the council newsletter or bulletin.

The JJG Club is formed to disseminate information for the council’s purpose through the print media.

In this regard, there will be a JUNIOR JOURNALIST GUILD TRAINING on August 10 – 12, 2018. Herewith are the details of the event:

Registration fees of participants may be charged to the local school/SM F funds, but would depend on the availability of funds. Please submit the list of participants to the Council on or before July 27, 2017.
