1.      Attached is a communication letter from the City Health Office of the City Government of Catbalogan

relative to the schedule of the annual conduct of Schistosomiasis Mass Drug Administration on the following barangays:

• Barangay New Mahayag (July 10, 2018)

• Barangay Iguid (July 16, 2018)

• Barangay San Vicente (July 17, 2018)

• Barangay Libas

Barangay Albalate

Barangay Palanyogon              (July 25-26, 2018)

Barangay Bangon Barangay Cagudalo Barangay Cagusipan

2.     In line with this, the schools from the abovementioned barangays are requested to prepare masterlist

of learners with weight, duly signed parent’s consent and must be collected prior to the scheduled date. In addition, a safe drinking water should be available.

3.    To prevent unwanted side effects, advisers should ensure that the learners have taken their meal

before taking the medication.

4.    Expenses incurred in the said activity shall be charged to the School MOOE subject to the usual

accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

5.    Immediate dissemination and   compliance with this Division Memorandum is earnesty desired.

The City Health Office will conduct a yearly Schistosomiasis Mass Drug Administration on the following barangays: Brgy. Iguid, Brgy New Mahayag, Brgy. San Vicente, Brgy. Libas, Brgy. Albalate, Brgy. Palanyogon, Brgy. Bangon, Brgy. Cagudalo and Brgy Cagusipan. This is to reduce the prevalence of Schistosomiasis in our city.

In this regard we would like the assistance from you good office for the food and water for those school children who would be taking the medication, masterlist of the school children with their weight as a reference for the dosage that would be given.
