DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PREPAREDNESS MEASURES

1.            Disaster preparedness refers to measures taken to prepare for and reduce the effects of disasters.

That is to predict and, where possible, prevent disasters, mitigate their impact on vulnerable populations, and respond to and effectively cope with their consequences. In line with this through the DepEd Order No. 83, s. 2011 re: Disaster Preparedness Measures for Schools, all schools are directed to post the Emergency Hotlines in a tarpaulin at the gate entrance and classrooms, likewise leaflets on Preparedness for Rainy Season shall also be posted in every classroom.

2.        Expenses incurred shall be charged to the School MOOE subject to the usual accounting and

auditing rules and regulations.

3.        Atached is a lay-out of Emergency Hotlines in a 2×3 size tarpaulin and leaflets on Preparedness

for Rainy Season.

4.        For inquiries and concerns, you may approach CHESETH T. CABALQUINTO, Project

Development Officer H- DRRM.

5.        Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance to this division memorandum is highly

directed.
