Anchored to Proclamation No. 227 s. 1998, the annual conduct of the National Women’s Month Celebration aims to give due recognition to the contribution of the Filipino Women in our society.
Driven with this year’s theme: “We Make Change Workfor Women” will focus on the full implementation of Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710) as well as in pursuing patnership for change. Thus, women empowerment will make the change espousing development effot responsive of women’s rights and concern.
2018 Women’s Month Celebration aims to:
a. inform and engage women as stakeholders of
government programs and services to
promote
citizen-centric government;
b. create and facilitate platforms to discuss
good practices, gaps, challenges, and
commitments in
pursuing gender and development; and
c. inspire and empower women and girls to be agent of change.
In line with this occasion, schools are requested to conduct programs and activities as patterns in pataking the good cause of empowering women in pursuit of the country’s economic, social, cultural and political development.

Attached
to this Memorandum is the Scheduled of Proposed and Suggested Activities. All
expenses relative to the conduct of this activity shall be charged against
Local Fund/MOOE/GAD Fund subject to the usual accounting and
auditing rules and regulations. Strict compliance and^^-d^ejmination of this
Memorandum is desired.
