In connection with the above-captioned matter, enclosed hereto is Unnumbered Memorandum dated January 18, 2018, RE: Supplemental Guidelines on Availment of Leave of Absence, contents of which is self-explanatory.

SUBJECT: SUPPLEMENTAL GUIDELINES
ON AVAILMENT OF
LEAVE OF
ABSENCE
DATE: January 12, 2018
1. Regional Office employees who are on leave of absence, regardless of the type of leave, should not report for work during the duration of his/her leave except if the concerned is required by this Office to work in view of the exigency of the service.
2. Concerned employees who are reporting for work while on leave are not protected under existing CSC rules and regulations on claims that may be filed caused by any untoward incidence/casualty that might happen in coming to the office and going back home.
3. Each Division Chief should monitor the schedule of leave of absence for Vacation Leave, Forced Leave, Special Privilege Leave, Calamity Leave; and see to it that the staff under his/her division should not be allowed to go on leave simultaneously. The schedule should be staggered so that there is no overlapping of schedule to ensure that the normal operation of the office is not adversely affected.
4. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Memorandum are desired.
