1. The
Department of Education received from the Office of the Executive
Secretary the appointment letters signed by
President Rodrigo R. Duterte dated
October 4, 2017, of Undersecretaries (USec.) Lorna Dig Dino and Tonisito
Machiavelli C. Umali.
2. The aforementioned officials have taken their oath and assumed the duties and responsibilities of their respective positions on October 13, 2017.
3. Pursuant to the authority of supervision and control of the Department vested in the Secretary by the Administrative Code of 1987 and by Republic Act No. 9155, or the Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001, the said officials are assigned to oversee the operational activities and to coordinate the programs and projects of the bureaus, services, offices and units as follows:
