MASS TRAINING OF TEACHERS AND CAREER ADVOCATES ON CAREER GUIDANCE STRATEGIES

Teachers and Career Advocates All Others Concerned
1. The Department of Education Regional Office VIII , through the Education Support Services Division , will conduct the Mass Training to Teachers and Career Advocates on Career Guidance Strategies on December 5-7, 2018, the venue to be announced later.
2. The activity is aimed to:
a. equip the participants with concrete understanding of the strategies and trends on Career
Guidance;
b. capacitate teachers with skills necessary for them to perform their tasks to effectively
deliver the program to the learners;
c. conduct multicultural counseling along four dimensions of culture -power , uncertainty
avoidance, individualism, masculinity /femininity;
d. cultivate the skill of doing prevention to minimize remediation ; and
e. identify and mitigate precipitating factors of teen pregnancy , and substance abuse , school
violence, diversity, child abuse and terrorism .

There shall be no registration fee. Meals shall be served, starting on dinner of December 4, 2018, and last meal shall be PM snacks of December 7, 2018 . Accommodation shall be provided Check-in-time shall be afternoon of December 4, 2018, and check-out shall be afternoon of December 7, 2018. Meals and accommodation shall be charged to the downloaded fund for this trainings (SARO OSEC -8-18-8722 ) while traveling and other necessary expenses of the participants to this CB shall be charged to their respective MOOE/Local Fund , subject to subject to the usual government accounting and auditing rules and procedures.
6. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance wjth this Memorandum are desired.

1. As an upshot of the National Training of Trainers conducted in Cebu City on August 21-24, 2018, this Region, through the Education Support Services Division, will conduct the Mass Training ofTeachers and. Career Advocaes on Career Guidance Strategies on December 5-7,2018, in a venue that will be announced later.
2. This activity is aimed to:
