SUBJECT: FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION WITH SCHOOL HEADS AND KINDER TO GRADE 3 TEACHERS
DATE: January 12, 2018
1 To strengthen further the implementation of the Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP),
the Office through the Curriculum and Implementation Division (CID) shall conduct the
FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION (FGD) WITH SCHOOL HEADS AND KINDER TO GRADES 3 TEACHERS on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Catbalogan V Central Elementary School.
2. The activity aims to:
a. assess
the status of the implementation of the school banner projects in addressing
issues and concerns relative to
reading;
b. gather
updates on the availability and effectiveness of the reading materials used by
the teachers in developing and
enhancing reading skills among learners;
c. mark the successes achieved by the school/s relative to reading; and
d. solicit feedbacks on other concerns in reading.
3. The participants in this FGD are the School
Heads whose banner projects are related to reading
and a
teacher- representative from the Kinder to Grade 3 Teachers from the respective
schools.
4. No Registration Fee shall be collected from the participants. However, transport/ traveling,
meals/snacks, and other incidental expenses incurred by the participants relative to the activity shall be charged against school MOOE and other local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
5.
Dissemination of this Memorandum is desired for the information and guidance of
all
concerned.
